Once again, #AMSS2026 will be an in-person event. This year it will be held at the Hotel Captain Cook and Egan Center as in past symposia. This means the presenter will be required to attend in-person, as you have been in the past. Please enter your information below to submit an abstract for AMSS 2026.

Merit

  • Reports new or innovative information or ideas (versus repeating what is already understood)

  • Is likely to appeal to the diverse AMSS audience

  • Addresses implications beyond a single discipline

  • Makes a timely contribution to addressing conservation and management imperatives and/or local community concerns

Quality of
Writing/Construction

  • Adequately introduces topic and defines purpose of project

  • Provides brief summary of methods

  • Describes significant results or insights

  • States conclusions or describes avenues for further research

  • Provides context (e.g., contribution to conservation/management, local community engagement, improved understanding of system)

Other
Considerations:

  • Author gave an oral presentation at the Alaska Marine Science Symposium last year (on this or another project)

  • Preliminary/interim findings for this project were presented last year (by the same or a different presenter)

  • Abstract represents a final report

  • The author is a student
